The University of Texas at Arlington offers both undergraduate and graduate programs that include degree certification and continuing education classes as well. Programs are offered on campus as well as online. In fact, the University of Texas at Arlington is a pioneer in online education. Some of the programs available include the Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration and the Master of Public Administration.
The Bachelor of Arts in Criminology is designed for those who have already completed core courses or are nearing completion. It is a hybrid program that includes both face-to-face and online courses. Students must complete courses in such subjects as:

The Bachelor of Business Administration is designed for those who wish to become leaders in a wide variety of industries. The degree focuses on four main areas of management including Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, and Strategic Management. Students also complete courses in:

The University of Texas at Arlington offers a Master of Business Administration program that is available online. The degree is available with four concentrations including general, finance, healthcare, and management. Each program is 36 credit hours and takes approximately 12 months to complete. Courses for all concentrations include:

About University of Texas at Arlington
Arlington College began in 1895, established at the urging of Edward Emmett Rankin, who wanted to improve the availability of quality education in the rural town that had just been established in Texas. Classes began in a small wood-frame schoolhouse near what is now the University Center with around 75 students. In 1902, the school was converted to Carlisle Military Academy designed to educate and train young boys, although there were at least eight female graduates while the school was in existence.
In 1913, the school became Arlington Training School which continued the military discipline of Carlisle Military Academy. Like Carlisle, females were admitted to the school despite its initial goal of educating young men. In 1916, the school became the Arlington Military Academy, but it only operated for one academic year. When it closed, the community ceased attempts to operate a private intermediate and secondary school although military training units continue on today’s campus.
In 1917, the school became part of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, what is now known as Texas A&M. Known as the Grubbs Vocational College, the school was named for Judge Vincent W. Grubbs of Greenville who led the campaign to start the school. Male students were required to be cadets in the ROTC in keeping with the military tradition of the campus. The school became North Texas Agricultural College in 1923 and became Arlington State College in 1949. In 1965, the school was transferred to the University of Texas System. In 1967, it became the University of Texas at Arlington.
Today, the University of Texas at Arlington has an enrollment of almost 42,000 enrolled in more than 180 rigorous degree programs.

The University of Texas at Arlington is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. This gives the University the authority to award degrees at the baccalaureate, master’s and doctorate level. The University of Texas at Arlington Admissions Requirements
Students who have not earned college credit after graduation apply is freshmen to the University of Texas at Arlington. Applicants must complete an online ApplyTexas application and provide official high school transcripts along with official SAT or ACT scores. Applicants who are in the top quarter of their high school graduating class do not need a minimum SAT or ACT score. Those in the second quarter must score an 1100 on the SAT or 22 on the ACT. Applicants in the third or fourth quarter of their graduating class must undergo an individual review before being accepted.
Applicants who have earned college credit after high school graduation may enter as transfer students. Those with less than 24 transferable credits must follow freshmen admission requirements. They must also have at least a 2.25 GPA in transfer courses, no developmental coursework when calculating the GPA and all credits must be from a regionally accredited college or university. Courses with a grade of “D” will not transfer. Those with 24 or more credits must not include developmental coursework in their GPA and all credits must be from a regionally accredited institution. No grades of “D” or lower will transfer. All transfer students must complete the ApplyTexas application and submit transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
Each academic department sets their own admission policies for graduate students. All applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university and must provide transcripts from all schools attended.
The University of Texas Tuition and Financial Aid
Full-time undergraduate tuition at the University of Texas at Arlington is $26,414 per year and full-time graduate tuition is $26,614 per year. Financial aid is available if students demonstrate financial need, are a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen and have a valid social security number. Male students between the age of 18 and 25 must also register for the Selective Service. In order to be eligible for Direct Loan programs, students must be enrolled at least halftime. To receive any financial aid, students must be enrolled as a regular student, must maintain satisfactory academic progress and cannot have been convicted of a drug offense. Students entered into nursing certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid.
In order to qualify for scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed. It also must be renewed each year.
