Online on Blackboard since 2012, the M.A. in Organizational Leadership has delivered a 30-credit, IACBE-accredited sequence of accelerated seven-week courses from Human Resource Management to Accounting for 95 percent job placement at M&T Bank, Univera Healthcare, and others. Directed by Dr. Marla Britton, the M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy starts its 51-credit, 2.5-year hybrid path toward New York MFT licensure each Fall with weekend courses plus 500 clinical hours at BestSelf Behavioral Health’s Family Counseling Center.

About Medaille College
Medaille College originated in 1937 when the New York State Legislature chartered Mount Saint Joseph Teachers College for bachelor’s-level preparation of female religious educators. In 1968, Sister Alice Huber changed this charter to begin coeducational admission. That Fall, the Sisters of St. Joseph renamed the college after their founder, Father Jean Pierre Medaille. By 1970, Medaille College had established an independent Board of Trustees for governance. Two decades later, Medaille built the first residence hall for on-campus living. In 1997, the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) was launched for adult students. In 2005, Medaille joined the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference for NCAA Division III athletics. In 2010, Medaille College debuted its earliest online bachelor’s degree. In 2011, Medaille expanded Huber Hall with a state-of-the-art Student Success Center.
Endowed for $8.0 million, Medaille College now employs 81 full-time and 332 part-time faculty teaching 2,146 Mavericks from 19 countries online, on its 13-acre Olmsted Crescent campus in Buffalo, or at the Rochester Center with 25+ organizations like the Future Teachers Club. Medaille College Accreditation Details
On November 15, 2018, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) acknowledged the receipt of a Mid-Point Review Report from Medaille College to satisfactorily continue Level V accreditation through the next 2022-23 evaluation under President Kenneth M. Macur, Ph.D., who earned the WICPA Innovative User of Technology Award. Located 400 miles southeast via Interstate 81 in Philadelphia, this esteemed eight-territory Mid-Atlantic Region accreditor is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and New York State Education Department (NYSED). Medaille College Application Requirements
Enrolling at Medaille College is classified as “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s because 817 of the 1,505 Fall 2018 applicants were triumphant for competitive 54 percent acceptance. First-year Mavericks must have proof of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Only the Upward Bound Program allows current secondary students age 13 or older from the City of Buffalo. Degree-seeking freshmen need cumulative GPAs of 2.0 and better. The Class of 2022 achieved an average 3.11 GPA. The middle 50th percentile had ACT scores of 19-23. Mid-range admitted SAT scores were 830-1040. International learners prove English ability with minimum 71 TOEFL iBT, 5.5 IELTS, 3.5 ITEP, or 45 PTE scores. Undergrads can transfer up to 45 associate and 90 bachelor’s credits graded D or higher. Graduate degrees require completion of an accredited four-year baccalaureate though. Post-grads typically need at least 2.5 or 3.0 GPAs in the last 60 credits. The Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology waives GRE requirements for GPAs above 3.5.
Medaille College conveniently provides rolling admission on an ongoing basis. However, it’s suggested non-U.S. residents apply by June 1st for Fall or November 1st for Spring starts. Tuition and Financial Aid
For 2019-20, Medaille College is charging full-time undergrads $14,975 per semester or $29,950 annually. Traditional part-time tuition is $971 per credit. Associate and bachelor’s majors pay the $500 student fee each year. Living at the Buffalo campus’ housing like North Residence Hall adds $7,000 to $8,050 for semester room and board. Medaille budgets $1,100 for textbooks and $1,100 for miscellaneous expenses yearly. Annual undergrad attendance averages $45,200 on-site or $31,700 if commuting. Online associate courses cost $425 per credit. Online bachelor’s cohorts spend $700 per credit. Active-duty military pay the discounted $250 rate. Graduate program prices vary from $550 to $895 per credit. Post-master’s advanced certificates are an exception costing $450 per credit. The Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology tuition is $1,170 per credit.

Institutional funds include the First-Gen Payback Scholarship, First Responder Scholarship, Jacqueline Downey Memorial Scholarship, Say Yes to Education Scholarship, Geographic Diversity Grant, KF&B Law Academic Scholarship, Urban Assembly Housing Scholarship, Robert Nesslin Scholarship, Roger Bonenfant Memorial Scholarship, Allen Lee Downing Memorial Scholarship, and Garman Family Scholarship. The Phi Theta Kappa Honors Scholarship gifts $2,500 annually to full-time transferring members who exceed the 3.5 GPA minimum. The Medaille Merit Scholarship gives freshmen $13,500 to $22,000 each year based on SAT/ACT scores. Federal resources, such as the Pell Grant and Direct Subsidized Loan, require FAFSA applications coded 002777.
