About Shiloh University

Shiloh University was founded in 2006 as an online Bible college and seminary to provide worldwide educational opportunities. The name of the school came from the biblical story of Shiloh. In the story, Israel established Shiloh as its spiritual and administrative center. Joshua distributed land to each tribe of Israel and Shiloh became the first location of the Tabernacle of the Lord and was the location of the Ark of Covenant. Samuel established schools of prophets and communities that were committed to worshiping the Lord. Students at these schools studied, practiced and spoke the Word, becoming a tremendous force in both the spiritual and natural events of Israel.

The leaders chose the name Shiloh University to honor the example of the prophet schools, demonstrating the power and effectiveness of God’s people when they commit to following him. The school opened to students in 2007, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in biblical, pastoral and New Testament studies.

Shiloh University recognizes that individuals need flexibility in higher education. They also understand that those who carry church responsibilities, are in the mission field, or who have other commitments to their time are often unable to attend traditional classes or fulfill residency requirements often found at other institutes of higher learning with online programs. Therefore, Shiloh University does not require residencies for any programs offered.
