Established in 1899, Northern Arizona University is a public university in Flagstaff. The large university has more than 31,000 students enrolled for classes and operates on a semester system. Institutional accreditation for Northern Arizona University comes from the Higher Learning Commission, which is a non-governmental organization that is recognized by the federal government’s Secretary of Education and the U.S. Department of Education. Northern Arizona University Application Requirements

Applications for first-year students who want to attend Northern Arizona University require that the applicant has a minimum 2.5. GPA in high school. Students must graduate high school having earned a minimum number of credits in several areas that include English, math, science, language, and fine arts. Students who are over the age of 22 will have their college work, if any exists, included with their application details.

Students who want to apply to one of the university’s graduate programs must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their bachelor’s degree program. Tuition and Financial Aid

Graduate students who are Arizona residents will pay $9,796 for tuition with an estimated total cost of attendance reaching $26,672. Non-residents will pay $22,882 for tuition with a total cost of attendance at $39,758.

Students who reside in neighboring states and locations throughout the west may be eligible for tuition rates based on the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program, which can mean a savings of 40 percent on the tuition rate for out-of-state students. Students who enroll as undergraduate students are also guaranteed to pay the same rate for up to four years of enrollment.
