When attending Texas A&M International University, students can enroll in more than 70 undergraduate programs in areas like business, the arts and sciences, and nursing. The university is divided into four colleges. Those divisions include the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business.

Texas A&M International University is located in Laredo, Texas, and was established in 1969. The university sits on a campus of 300 acres and offers classes to more than 7,500 students. The university’s original role was as a branch campus for Texas A&I University, and the institution catered to juniors, seniors, and graduate-level students. The school would join the Texas A&M system in 1989 and would adopt its modern name in 1993. Students are nicknamed the Dustdevils when they participate in various team sports.
Athletic teams available to students include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, and volleyball. The university was given a large donation of $2 million by an oilman in Laredo named Radcliffe Killam, and his donation helped established the Center for Western Hemispheric Trade. Admission to Texas A&M International University has some minimum performance requirements for the student’s high school curriculum. Students who graduate in the top 40 percent of their graduating class don’t have any other scores to meet, but they must still submit scores from the ACT and SAT. Students who are in the next 60 percent of their graduating class must obtain a minimum of 980 on the SAT or a 19 on the ACT.
