Stony Brook University has a large campus on the north shore of Long Island in New York state. The application requirements for entry into the Graduate School are more clearly defined than they are in undergraduate programs. Stony Brook University requires the completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. They also require that each applicant submits a GPA of at least 3.0 on the 4.0 scale. Students will be required to provide the official transcripts from their most recent undergraduate degrees alongside their application. Students applying to the Graduate School are also required to submit letters of recommendation. Depending on their field of study, they may also be required to submit GRE test scores.
