Welcome to our ranking of most affordable online operations management degrees for 2018.

The field of operations management draws on many disciplines, traditional management, technical expertise, factory and equipment maintenance procedures, and good old-fashioned people skills. A bachelor’s degree in operations management could be your ticket from the shop floor to the office upstairs. Acquiring this degree while continuing to meet your current personal and professional obligations (hello, regular 401k contributions!) is a miracle of the modern age. We compiled this list of the 15 most affordable online operations management degree programs (bachelor’s) to help you find the program with the right specialization for you that also fits your budget.

Most schools recommend about 15 hours a week as a time commitment for full-time, online study. Schooling by computer requires slightly different skills than traditional brick and mortar school. You need to be more organized and able to self-motivate. Most distance education program websites offer a quick online quiz that allows you to assess your capacities in this area. You will also need regular access to a computer and internet that allows you to stream video without difficulty.

We appraised the schools on this list of the top 15 affordable online operations management degree programs (bachelor’s) based on the criteria broken down below. Student to faculty ratio and enrollment numbers came from the National Center for Education Statistics, a service of the US government. The tuition figure quoted in the bullet point above the review is also from this site and is the yearly out of state undergraduate tuition that they reported. Any per-credit-hour or per-semester rate quoted in the body of the school review is courtesy of that school’s website and may reflect discounts for online study, thus disagreeing with the government reported figure. In case of a tie on points, schools were ranked in order of decreasing tuition.
