Computer programming is really hot right now. Opportunities for learning to code abound for those who are ready to officially ready to pursue this field. If you are ready to take that step, an online associates degree in computer programming might be just the ticket. It can be a foot in the door to a new career, or the affordable start to a bachelor’s degree in a similar field. We compiled this list of 10 great value colleges for acquiring an online associates degree in computer programming to help you find good schools at the right price.

Online schooling takes a slightly different skill set than on campus class work. A lot of school websites will have a quick self-test you can take to see how well you stack up in the required skills. In the case of a tie on points, schools were ranked in order of decreasing tuition.

The tuition, enrollment, and student to faculty ratio numbers are pulled from the National Center for Education Statistics, a service of the US government. The tuition figure used is for out of state tuition, in publicly funded schools.
