Northwest University Students at Northwest University can enroll in more than 60 programs on subjects like accounting, communication, marketing, mathematics, ministry, and psychology. Programs are offered by the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, and the College of Education. Students may also enroll in programs within the College of Nursing, College of Ministry, or the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.

The university offers its programs in four formats and levels that include traditional, on-campus study for undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as online programs and adult/evening classes for non-traditional students. The university’s most popular programs are those in nursing, business administration, psychology, communication, and music.

Students who choose to enroll in a traditional undergraduate program on the university’s campus will have access to degrees in areas like music, marketing, psychology, biology, and environmental science. As a religiously affiliated institution, the university also offers many programs in religion and Christianity. Topics available for study include youth ministry, family ministry, worship and music studies, pastoral ministries, and Biblical literature.

The university has a very active nursing program that allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enter the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. One of the unique facets of study in the nursing program is that students are eligible to study abroad while earning their degree in a one-month cross-cultural immersion experience. The nursing programs also offer valuable high and low fidelity clinical simulations, as well as a curriculum that prepares the graduate to take the National Council Licensure Exam-Registered Nurse.

Prospective graduate students also have a variety of programs available in areas like business administration, teaching, and nursing, as well as some religious degrees. Students can earn a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership, a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies, or a Master of Arts in Church Revitalization.

Adult students who want to attend classes in the evening or enroll in programs designed for adult learners will consider the Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, the Bachelor of Arts in Ministry Leadership, or the Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management. About Northwest University

Northwest University is affiliated with the Assemblies of God denomination of Christianity and began its tenure in 1934 as the Northwest Bible Institute. The university is a private school with around, 1,733 students attending its Kirkland, Washington location. The school also has a satellite campus in the city of Salem in Oregon.

The suburban campus covers 56 acres and is comprised of five colleges and schools. The university’s official colors are blue and gold, and the sports teams are nicknamed the Eagles. The university first began offering graduate degrees in 2001 when the school received word that their Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program was approved by the regional accreditation agency.

Northwest University Application Requirements

Early Action applications must be received by Northwest University by November 15, and the regular application deadline is August 1st. However, students must have their financial aid applications submitted by February 15th in the year they intend to enter college. Students can also apply for entry during the spring semester by sending an application to the school by the 15th of December.

Students can also apply online for undergraduate and graduate programs and will need to submit a completed application, high school or college transcripts, and proof of English language proficiency if the student is from another country. The minimum GPA for accepted students is 3.0 for regular admission to graduate programs and the minimum GPA for accepted students is 2.3 for undergraduate students.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for undergraduate students who attend Northwest University is $32,500 for 12 to 18 credits and $9,000 for room and board in a double-occupancy room. Students will also pay $460 in various fees. The total cost of attendance is estimated at $41,960. For graduate students, tuition is based on the program and is charged on a per-credit basis.

The Master of Business Administration program is $895 per credit, and the Master of Education is $784 per credit. For the university’s Ph.D. program in Organizational Leadership, the cost is $795 per credit, and tuition is the same for the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership. Online programs are also charged per credit with undergraduate costing $445 per credit and graduate programs varying in their cost per credit.

Northwest University suggests that its overall cost of attendance is lower than other comparable private schools and that the actual cost for the average undergraduate student is $14,474 per year after financial aid is received. Students may receive a combination of grants, loans, and scholarships that will help cover the costs of tuition and attending college. Applicants must submit a FAFSA form if they want to receive federal student loans.

Financial aid is available to eligible students enrolled in every type of study offered by the university.
