1. Dan Klepper Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Be enrolled in an accredited Texas college or university and preparing for a career relating to the outdoors, environmental conservation, or wildlife management and conservation and the communication of that area of work to the masses.

The Texas Outdoor Writers Association is a leading outdoor publication, and their Dan Klepper Memorial Scholarship is just one mode of the organization’s efforts in ongoing good samaritanship. In honor of the legendary outdoor writer Dan Klepper, this scholarship provides $2,000 to students working toward a career communicating about subjects in outdoors, environmental conservation, or wildlife management and conservation. 2. WIIT Student Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Applicants must identify as female and be currently enrolled at an accredited US university or college, either full-time or part-time.
  • Applicants must be Juniors or Seniors in undergraduate or enrolled in graduate studies.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a history of merit.

The WIIT Student Scholarship is a generous offer brought to you by the Association of Women in International Trade. 3. Norma Ross Walter Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be female high school seniors who are prospective, first-year college students and plan to continue their education as English majors in accredited colleges or universities.

The Norma Ross Walter Scholarship comes courtesy of the Willa Cather Foundation and provides winning applicants with up to $2,500 in tuition coverage. 4. NYFWA Scholarship Program

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be enrolled or recently-graduated undergraduate or graduate journalism students in the tri-state New York area who are seriously interested in pursuing a career in business and financial journalism.

The New York Financial Writers’ Association sponsors a number of great scholarship awards each year via its NYFWA Scholarship Program. 6. Aspiring Literary Scholar Award

Eligibility

  • Candidate must be a full-time freshman, sophomore, or junior student attending a historically Black college or university (HBCU).
  • Candidate must possess a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better.

The Aspiring Literary Scholar Award is sponsored by the Go On Girl! Book Club, a reading club devoted to literacy and, more specifically, spreading knowledge of the literary works by authors of the Black Diaspora. Eligibility

  • Applicants must be ages 13-18 and attending grades 8-12.
  • Applicants must be attending junior high or high school in the United States or Canada, or an American international school abroad, or be enrolled in a US home-school program.
