The Society for Human Resource Management Foundation is a professional organization that was founded strictly to advance the field of Human Resource Management. This includes helping existing HR professionals and hopefuls get the training that they need to succeed.

The SHRM Foundation offers 14 different scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. There are 5 awards granted to undergraduates in the amount of $2,500, 2 awards granted to graduate students in the amount of $5,000 and smaller assessment awards for $200. The largest scholarship offered by the foundation is the Susan R. Meisinger Fellowship, which helps graduate students cover $10,000 in HR study expenses.

2 – HR Payroll Systems Student Scholarship

HR Payroll Systems is one of the leading HRIS websites on the web today. To help propel the field of HR and offer incentives to the future human resource professionals earning a degree, the company has started a student scholarship program for students enrolled in accredited schools int he US.

To qualify for an HR scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources. They must be enrolled in at least one HR management course and earn at least a 2.5 GPA. The single winner awarded will receive $1000 for their scholastic achievement.

3 – Excellence in Human Resources Scholarship

The Excellence in Human Resources Program is run by the Management Association and funded by the association’s Centennial Endowment Fund. Winners of the award will receive $1000 annually to earn their HR degree in an approved state. Requirements state that students must be applying to school in the current year and planning to attend school full-time. Other requirements include a typed resume and a good employment history.

4 – Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Scholarships

The Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Scholarship is funded the Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. Each year, the PASSHE offers 5 different awards to students who are enrolled full-time in hospitality, HR, marketing, or IT degree programs. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and must have already completed 60 college credits.

5 – International Public Management Association for Human Resources Scholarships

The International Public Management Association, commonly referred to as IPMA, offers the IPMA-HR award for college students who are children or guardians of national members. The student must be enrolling in a public or business administration degree program at a full-time status with a focus on human resource management. The winners who are selected will receive $1000.
