The Graduate Studies department has an overall mission of providing students with the best support and education they can get. Academically, success is inevitable, especially where California State University-Chico is involved. Students are embraced the moment they are admitted. The Regional and Continuing Education department and California State University-Chico provides students with an array of programs and opportunities to choose from. The program offers both distance and online learning options for those who are looking for a flexible way to complete their degree. The department holds courses throughout the year and even has an Early Start program.

About California State University-Chico

California State University-Chico was founded in 1887. It is the second oldest institution in the state of California that is a member of the California State University system. Today, CSU-Chico hosts small classroom sizes that hold no more than 30 students at a time. The student body is comprised of 34 American states, a single U.S. territory, and 43 international countries and nations. CSU-Chico’s history and traditions date back to over 100 years in the past. The university has continuously upheld those traditions to preserve the scholarly efforts, civic engagements, and pursuits that the founding groups originally instilled.

California State University-Chico was regionally recognized by the U.S. News and World Report as one of the “Top 10 Regional Public Universities” in the West. California State University-Chico Application Requirements

First-year students should provide the admissions office with an array of supplemental documents including official high school transcripts, satisfactory SAT or ACT scores, satisfactory GPA, and a $55 application fee.

Graduate students should possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. To be considered for admissions, graduate students should submit official transcripts, a satisfactory GPA, satisfactory GRE or GMAT scores, and English language proficiency scores from a TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exam. Depending on the selected department, students will have to supply other supplemental materials such as a personal statement, letters of recommendation and a resume.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Undergraduate students who are taking up to six units will pay $2,699. Students taking more than six units will pay $3,905.

Graduate students who are taking no more than six credits will pay $3,116. Students taking more than six units will pay $4,622.

CSU-Chico offers 40% of first-year undergraduate students an average financial aid scholarship amount of $5,451. The university also provides 44% of first-year students with federal grant awards totaling $5,058.
