1. CBC Spouses Education Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be a US citizen or permanent US resident.
– Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited academic institution.
– Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
– Exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities.
– Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or Black students and constituents of a CBC member’s district.
To start our list of the best scholarships for young Black men, the CBC Spouses Education Scholarship is as great an opportunity as any. With this chance at funding from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, learners can receive varying amounts of tuition coverage as well as valuable professional contact links through the CBC. April 3rd marks the annual deadline to apply for funding through this scholarship.
2. Massport STEM Scholarship Program
Eligibility
– Applicant must be a Massachusetts resident who is a graduating high school senior also attending or accepted into an accredited college for attendance.
– Applicant must be of a minority race.
– Applicant must hold a 3.0 GPA at the minimum.
The Massport STEM Scholarship Program is an annual courtesy of the Massachusetts Port Authority’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion/Compliance. Through this great offer, qualifying applicants have a chance at a quick $2,000 tuition payment. Massachusetts residents who are interested in working in the transportation field are the intended recipients of this one.
3. The Joshua David Gardner Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Eligibility
– Be a US citizen who is also attending an accredited, four-year historically Black college or university.
– Hold a minimum GPA of 2.8.
In honor of The Gardner Family’s late infant son, Joshua David Gardner, this memorial scholarship grants winning applicants each with a $2,000 tuition check. If you are a Black student enrolled in an accredited, four-year historically Black college or university, you’re likely eligible for consideration. The application acceptance period for this opportunity runs from October 30th until April 30th each year.
4. Mae & Mary Legacy Foundation, Inc. Scholarship
Eligibility
– Applicants must be African American students.
– Applicants must be graduating high school seniors.
– Students from anywhere in the United States can apply.
Just for Black students, the Mae & Mary Legacy Foundation, Inc. Scholarship invites graduating high school seniors to apply for tuition funding via a quick and easy application process. Completed applications must be received by the April 30th deadline, and winners are then announced promptly on June 21st. As the award amounts vary as well as the count of winners each year, the scholarship is best contacted directly for further award info.
5. Brown Mae Scholarships
Eligibility
– Potential applicants are recommended to check with the Brown Mae website for further details on individual scholarship eligibility requirements.
BrownMae.org was created in 2015 to help meet the medical, educational, and other needs of under-served areas of the Black community. To that end, the organization has since set up and continued administering three, great scholarship opportunities: the Norman Brown Scholarship, the Healthcare Scholarship, and the Teaching Scholarship. Each of these valuable funds targets a different black student, and only Black students and other students of minority backgrounds may apply.
6. Carrington-Philbert Scholarship Program
Eligibility
– Be of African American descent and planning to attend college.
As its name suggests, the Carrington-Philbert Scholarship Program is an honorary scholarship in the name of the Carrington and Philbert Families, past and present. In that honor, winning scholarship applicants each receive a $2,500 tuition payment from the scholarship fund. Even better, the base requirements of this opportunity simply look for the applicant to be of African American descent and to be planning to attend college.
7. Page Grant
Eligibility
– Be a minority student graduating from a Minnesota high school.
– Be planning to attend an accredited Minnesota post-secondary school with full-time enrollment status.
The Page Grant is an annual offer courtesy of the Page Education Foundation. Winning Black applicants to this scholarship for Minnesota citizens can look forward to an award of up to $2,500 in tuition coverage. Preference is given to graduating high school seniors as well as returning, renewing applicants.
8. Actuarial Diversity Scholarship
Eligibility
– Applicant must have at least one birth parent who is a member of one of the following minority groups: Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American, Pacific Islander.
– Applicant must be enrolling or already enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at a US-accredited educational institution.
– Must demonstrate intent to work in the actuarial industry.
– Entering college freshmen must have a minimum ACT math score of 28 or SAT math score of 620.
– A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
Actuarial work is notoriously understaffed by persons of color, and The Actuarial Foundation is trying to change that fact. In search of that very goal, the organization’s annual Actuarial Diversity Scholarship awards winning minority applicants with up to $4,000 in college funding depending on their current grade level of attendance. March 15th marks the deadline to apply for this valuable funding opportunity.
9. ONMA Minority Journalism Scholarship
Eligibility
– Applicants must be Ohio high school minority students who are graduating seniors interested in studying journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications at an accredited college or university within the United States.
Applicants must hold a 2.5 GPA or better.
ONMA stands for the Ohio News Media Association, and this organization’s ONMA Minority Journalism Scholarship becomes available every year to encourage more minority participation in the trade. With a win of this scholarship, recipients are gifted $1,250 for schooling expenses. ONMA also offers a number of other, great scholarship opportunities for anyone interested.
10. Student Opportunity Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be a Presbyterian Church member (USA).
– Be a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university in the United States.
– Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
– Demonstrate financial need.
For any of the thousands of Presbyterian Church members out there, the Student Opportunity Scholarship can provide some great relief toward those college bills. With this scholarship, a win affords recipients with up to $2,000 in tuition coverage. Up to a very generous 80 awards are also issued each year.
11. NMF General Scholarships & Awards
Eligibility
– Potential applicants are recommended to check with the National Medical Fellowships website for further details on individual scholarship eligibility requirements.
The National Medical Fellowships is an organization that provides a very generous array of scholarship options for minority students and others. The Dr. Randolph Chase Memorial Scholarship and the Dr. James Curtis Scholarship are just two examples in which a $5,000 award is made available to eligible Black applicants. At this time, there is a total of 28 scholarships up for grabs through the NMF.
12. Leon Bradley Scholarship Program
Eligibility
– Be a minority student in good standing and in pursuit of an initial teaching certification and/or endorsement.
For a chance at $3,500 in scholarship funding, the Leon Bradley Scholarship Program is a great opportunity for minority learners. Two applicants are chosen each year, with both receiving the $3,500 award. May 31st is the application deadline to beat.

13. INCPAS Scholars Program
Eligibility
– Be a minority student in good standing who is interested in ultimately pursuing a career in CPA or accounting work.
The INCPAS Scholars Program is an excellent opportunity for minority students that is administered by the Indiana CPA Society. INCPAS itself is a major representative organization for over 7,500 CPAs and accounting professionals today. Aside from academic assistance, this program also offers a variety of other aids including professional apparel provisions and numerous, valuable networking opportunities across the Indiana business world.
14. 100 Black Men of Prince George’s County Scholarship
Eligibility
– High school applicants must hold a 2.5 minimum GPA, while college-level applicants must hold a 3.0 minimum GPA.
– Applicants must be residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The 100 Black Men of Prince George’s County Scholarship is an annual courtesy of the namesake organization, 100 Black Men of Prince George’s County. Ten winners from this county are announced for this award each year with each of those going on to receive a $1,000 tuition-funding check. While virtually all degree majors are accepted here, three of the 10, chosen winners are always students who are in pursuit of a STEM major specifically.
15. Kearns Louis-Jean Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be a graduating senior high school student who has been accepted to a four-year, accredited college/university undergraduate program with a declared major in STEM.
– Demonstrate financial need.
– Hold an initial GPA of at least 2.5.
– Be a resident of Boston/Cambridge or the greater Boston area.
The Kearns Louis-Jean Memorial Scholarship is yet another great way for minority degree-seekers to get help funding their goals. Here, winning applicants can receive $500 per semester with continuity contingent on the student’s grades remaining at or above a 3.0 GPA. Apply by the May 31st deadline for your chance at this great option for continued funding.
16. William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen who is also a minority.
– Be admitted or already attending an eligible Indiana institution as a full-time student.
– Pursue or intend to pursue a course of study that would enable the ability to legally teach in Indiana.
– Be a first-time undergraduate student.
The William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship is your chance at tuition coverage courtesy of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Specifically, this scholarship program is aimed at promoting an increase in minority teachers in Indiana. If you are a resident of this state, a minority, and in pursuit of teaching credentials, this may be the perfect option for you.
17. Actuarial Scholarship for Minority Students
Eligibility
– Be a US citizen or legal refugee.
– Be a minority student in pursuit of an actuarial or mathematics-related degree with the goal of ultimately pursuing an actuarial career.
– Hold at least a 3.4 GPA.
For the actuary and math-based majors out there, the Actuarial Scholarship for Minority Students can provide some great education expense relief. Multiple payments of $2,500 each represent the particular award at stake. For a chance at this award, all applications must be received by the annual October 20th cutoff date.

18. The Morrill Scholarship Program
Eligibility
– Be a high school senior and US citizen.
– Demonstrate a history devoted to great causes such as social justice, matters of academic excellence, or other community-boosting efforts.
The Morrill Scholarship Program is a chance for minorities and others to grab some valuable tuition help via The Ohio State University. 19. Holly A. Cornell Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be a minority and/or a female student pursuing advanced training in the field of water supply and treatment.
The Holly A. Cornell Scholarship is an annual funding opportunity offered by the American Water Works Association. In fact, this organization offers a wide array of college-funding opportunities that all students are recommended to check into. The Holly A. Cornell Scholarship specifically provides winning minority applicants with a great, $7.500 scholarship grant.
20. The Rossiter Family Scholarship
Eligibility
– Applicant must be a women or racial or ethnic minority.
– Applicant must be a student currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or
graduate program in civil or environmental engineering.
– Applicant must be a resident of Massachusetts and attend a college or university in Massachusetts.
The Rossiter Family Scholarship is an exclusive offer through The Engineering Center Education Trust. While only one student wins this award each year, the award itself is substantial at $10,000 in value. This is one effort by the greater engineering field to enhance minority participation in the engineering field.
21.Gensler Diversity Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be an underrepresented or minority student who is also enrolled in a NAAB-accredited architecture program and entering into the final year of their current academic program in the fall of the current year.
Gensler is a sizeable design firm and member of the greater design community. Recognizing a need for more minority workers in the future of that field, the organization offers an annual scholarship opportunity just for minorities via its Gensler Diversity Scholarship. Those selected for this one can look forward to up to a very noteworthy $20,000 in tuition coverage.
22. Frank M. Snowden Jr. Undergraduate Scholarship
Eligibility
– Be a member of a historically underrepresented ethnic or racial minority group in the United States or Canada.
– Be a current undergraduate student in good standing.
The Frank M. Snowden Jr. Undergraduate Scholarship is an effort by the Society for Classical Studies to further diversify the worker and student pools associated with the classical studies. 23. Morgan Stanley Richard B. Fisher Scholarship Program
Eligibility
– Applicants must be undergraduate sophomore or junior students who self-identify as Black, Hispanic, Native American, or LGBT+.
– Applicants must be currently enrolled in a four-year, accredited university.
The Morgan Stanley Richard B. Fisher Scholarship Program comes courtesy of the finance giant, Morgan Stanley. Like many other organizations on this list, Morgan Stanley is working on further diversifying the ranks within its particular field of work and is partially doing so via a great, yearly scholarship offer. With a win of the company’s Morgan Stanley Richard B. Fisher Scholarship, selected applicants receive thousands in tuition coverage.
24. Gates Millennium Scholars Program
Eligibility
– Be a minority student in the US in pursuit of a college degree at an accredited US institution.
Minority learners should all check out this great offer by the Gates Millennium Scholars organization. Here, winning minority applicants are slated to receive one of many, varying, annual tuition-covering awards that come directly from funds from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. 25. Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship
